Antique French Terracotta Baby Cake & Pâté Mold

A rare antique French terracotta pâté mold in the shape of a swaddled baby. The interior features a beautifully detailed relief with a child's face and floral decoration, finished in a rich dark brown glaze. The exterior is left unglazed, showing the warm natural terracotta and decades of authentic patina.

Originally used for preparing decorative pâtés, aspics and festive dishes, this mold is now a highly decorative collector's piece. The unusual baby design makes it a striking addition to any collection of antique French kitchenware or culinary antiques.

The mold remains in good antique condition with normal signs of age and use. Small glaze losses are visible along parts of the rim, while the exterior shows expected firing marks, surface wear and a beautiful aged patina. No visible cracks or repairs were found.

A scarce and highly decorative example of traditional French culinary pottery.
