Antique french terracotta baby cake & pâté mold yellow

A beautiful antique French terracotta cake and pâté mold in the shape of a swaddled baby. The interior is finished with a warm honey-colored glaze and features a finely detailed relief of a baby's face with floral decoration across the blanket. The exterior remains unglazed, displaying the natural terracotta with an attractive aged patina.

Originally made as a pâté mold, this piece is also widely known today as a cake mold or baking mold. Whether displayed as decorative French kitchenware or added to a collection of antique culinary molds, it is an exceptional and uncommon example.

The mold is in good antique condition with normal signs of age and use. There are some small glaze losses and minor edge wear around the rim, consistent with age. No visible cracks or repairs were found.
