A charming antique Sarreguemines lion head creamer jug, produced in France around the turn of the 20th century. Crafted in glazed faience with rich honey, amber and dark brown majolica tones, this highly decorative piece features a sculptural lion's head with detailed mane and expressive facial features.

Produced by the renowned French pottery manufacturer Sarreguemines, this figural jug exemplifies the artistic animal-themed ceramics that became popular during the late Victorian and Art Nouveau periods. The warm flowing glaze and striking design make it an attractive display piece for collectors of French pottery, majolica, and animal-themed ceramics.

The underside bears the Sarreguemines France mark.

Please note that the lion's nose shows visible wear and scratching consistent with age and use. This has been reflected in the condition description and does not detract from the overall decorative appeal of the piece.
