Set of two cocked wooden storage barrels. These barrels where used for the storage of Raygras seeds during the 19th century. Many species of Raygras are very nutritious and are therefore used in pastures and as hay for livestock. The barrels are made of pine wood with willow rods. The willow rods are decorative but mainly placed for the woodworm and termites so they eat the willow and not the barrels. Once the willow is eaten it gets replaced.
